Scope and agreement

These terms govern FakturFokus, operated by Rayquest Ventures LLC at the address above. The service supports business and professional invoicing. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and, when acting for an organisation, authorised to act on its behalf. Creating an account requires agreement to these terms. The privacy notice explains how personal data is handled; the data processing agreement forms part of these terms for personal data processed on a business customer's behalf.

Your account and permitted use

Provide accurate account details, keep credentials confidential and notify us through Support if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity you authorise and for having the rights and lawful basis needed to process supplied data. We do not acquire ownership of your documents.

Do not use the service for unlawful content, unauthorised access, malware, infringement of others' rights, disruptive automation or attempts to bypass security, tenant isolation, quotas or storage limits. Do not upload special-category personal data or criminal-record data. We may restrict affected access where reasonably necessary to stop misuse, protect data or meet a legal obligation. Where practicable and lawful, we explain the restriction and allow you to respond.

Free beta, limits and payments

Free requires no payment card, automatic charge or automatic move to a paid plan. Default allowances are 25 successful generations and 250 delivered inspections per UTC calendar month, 20 MiB private storage and seven-day file/report retention. The application shows availability and remaining allowances. Technical failures release reservations; delivered inspections with partial or unsupported coverage can still count. When a limit is reached, wait for renewal, remove stored data where relevant or try again when capacity is available. Reaching a limit never authorises a charge.

New subscriptions, paid plan changes and Fix Packs are currently paused. Displaying a future offer does not create an order. A future purchase requires an explicit order with its price and conditions shown before payment. Existing purchases remain subject to their applicable terms and the cancellation and refund information.

Results and your responsibilities

FakturFokus creates supported structured invoice files and explains technical validation findings. A completed check is not necessarily a valid invoice. Review coverage, rule versions, publisher findings, recipient requirements and the document itself before use. Technical conformance and arithmetic previews do not establish tax deductibility, legal validity or a recipient's acceptance. The service does not provide tax, accounting or legal advice, Peppol network transmission, OCR or statutory archiving.

You remain responsible for accurate invoice content, required disclosures, tax decisions, sending documents and keeping statutory records. Give us only the permission necessary to provide the requested processing, storage, support and deletion. We do not use that permission to sell your document contents or exploit them for unrelated purposes.

Storage, export and deletion

Download files before their displayed expiry and keep independent originals. Drafts, contacts and products remain until deleted or the account is closed; they do not extend report/file retention. Deleting saved history and closing an account have different effects, described in the retention guide. Account closure disables access and starts deletion and any applicable subscription cancellation. Background deletion can take time during provider outages. A refund or cancellation request does not require account deletion.

Availability and service changes

Maintenance, faults, provider outages and capacity limits can interrupt the beta. No contractual uptime or processing-time guarantee is included. We may update formats and rules, fix errors and change the free offering. We will communicate material changes affecting your use with reasonable notice where practicable, and as required by law. Changes do not retroactively authorise payment or remove existing mandatory rights.

Liability

We are responsible to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, an expressly assumed guarantee or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. No statement about technical validation removes your mandatory statutory rights.

Ending use, changes to terms and questions

You may stop using the service and close the account in Settings. If we end the free service, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export available content where practicable, except where immediate action is necessary for security or law. Files still follow their existing expiry dates.

We will publish revised terms with an effective date and communicate material changes before they take effect where required. A new charge requires a separate explicit purchase. Mandatory consumer protections and legally available courts remain unaffected. The English and German versions are intended to describe the same agreement; mandatory law governs any interpretation that would otherwise remove a protected right.

Use the contact page for questions or complaints. For a Paddle purchase, its buyer terms also apply to the transaction. We do not agree to voluntary participation in consumer dispute-resolution proceedings; any participation required by law remains unaffected.
